Delhi Public Transport has launched new app by Google yesterday.
This app can help commuters to get directions and the advantage is that even when internet is down or inaccessible this will work and keep updated.
Also which is free to download and use, supports DMRC Metro, DTC bus, Gurgoan Rapid Metro and DIMTS Orange buses.
This app is still in experiment mode which will be built using Google Maps (but why does Google directly not providing facility with its Maps is still unknown)
Through which the daily commuters can easily understand the route and destination time.
This app has UI which follows familiar card-based approach, which is simple plain text but easy to read and helps most lower-end mobile users who has small screens and has major user base in Delhi.
Due to unreliable network connectivity many apps stop working but this built to work offline hence daily commuters can keep this app handy and will help to plan their destination.
In a latest statement Google team has said that this app makes the direction and time-table information for Delhi Metro and buses available offline.
To help users get information about directions between bus stops and metro routes even when they don’t have any net connection.
There are very rare apps which works offline hence this could help most offline users and provide comfort to plan their trip.
With very small amount of data is consumed for news alerts as they say around 1KB which is once a day and with users feedback it may go up to 100KB.
As per the Google research the daily commuters is around 2.6 million people who travel by Delhi Metro train.
